Certification Categories

All three categories are assessed against the same five competence domains; the difference is emphasis, not scope.

Teaching-Intensive Faculty

Greater weight on teaching-learning, student assessment, mentoring and student success.

Research-Intensive Faculty

Greater weight on research, innovation, scholarly contribution and knowledge creation.

Teaching & Research Faculty

Balanced weight across teaching and research competencies.

Requirements around professional ethics, responsible conduct and digital competence remain the same for everyone.

How to Apply

The Application Journey

  1. Registration — create your applicant profile with your basic professional details.
  2. Eligibility check — confirm the minimum experience and qualification requirements.
  3. Payment of application fee — the fee covers assessment and certification; payment does not guarantee certification and is non-refundable once paid, including on withdrawal.
  4. Access to the application — after payment verification, access all five competence-domain forms.
  5. Submission of evidence — complete each domain and provide evidence against each indicator.
  6. Acknowledgement — after all five domains are submitted and the final category is selected, the application moves into assessment.

Applicant information is treated as confidential and is visible only to personnel directly involved in reviewing and assessing the application.
